The Kentucky Society of Washington, founded in 1912, is an organization that promotes goodwill, fellowship, and amicable relations among Kentuckians in the National Capital Region. The Society was formed to preserve and perpetuate the history and traditions of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. These ideals are promoted through numerous social, educational, and charitable functions each year.
President's Message
I’m excited to take on the role of President of the Kentucky Society of Washington. The Society has long been a home away from home for Kentuckians in our nation’s capital. It brings us together around the things we cherish most about our beloved Commonwealth, including our home counties, basketball, bourbon, horse racing, and bluegrass music.
At its heart, our Society has always been about celebrating our Kentucky roots, building and strengthening friendships, and creating a sense of home. I look forward to honoring those traditions while creating new opportunities for Kentuckians to connect.
I welcome your involvement and encourage you to share new ideas or suggestions. I look forward to working together to strengthen the Kentucky Society of Washington.
