China Rae Riddle

Henry Clay Internship Coordinator

A proud Eastern Kentuckian, China grew up in Pike County and graduated as valedictorian from Alice Lloyd College in Knott County. While at ALC, China worked in the Kentucky Senate, studied as a social entrepreneurship fellow in Costa Rica and served as a Henry Clay intern in 2013. She moved to Washington, D.C. in 2015, serving as Kentucky's Cherry Blossom Princess shortly after her arrival. China is passionate about Appalachian issues and currently serves as a Communications Strategist at Appalachian Regional Commission. When not advocating for coal-impacted communities, China spends time with her fiancé (and fellow Kentuckian) Nate, and volunteers with two mutual aid groups in her neighborhood.
